
40 g/ 11⁄2 oz butter, plus extra for greasing 5 globe artichokes . trimmed and cut into wedges | |
50 ml/2 fl oz milk 6 eggs |
1. | Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6. Grease an ovenproof dish with butter. Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the artichokes and cook over a medium heat for a few minutes. Meanwhile, heat the milk in asaucepan. |
2. | Season the artichokeswith salt, pourin thewarm milk and simmer for 10 minutes, then transfer the mixture to the prepared dish. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and pour them over the artichokes. Bake for about 30 minutes until the eggs have set. |
