Ingredients

40 g/ 11⁄2 oz butter, plus extra for greasing 5 globe artichokes . trimmed and cut into wedges
50 ml/2 fl oz milk 6 eggs

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6. Grease an ovenproof dish with butter. Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the artichokes and cook over a medium heat for a few minutes. Meanwhile, heat the milk in asaucepan.
2. Season the artichokeswith salt, pourin thewarm milk and simmer for 10 minutes, then transfer the mixture to the prepared dish. Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and pour them over the artichokes. Bake for about 30 minutes until the eggs have set.
