
2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cloves garlic, chopped | |
1 kg/2 1⁄4lb sprouting broccoli, cut into florets salt and pepper |
1. | Heat the olive oil in a saucepan , add the garlic and broccoli and cook over a low heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes. |
2. | Season with salt and pepper, add 150 ml/ 1⁄4pint water, cover and simmer gently for about 15 minutes until tender. |
3. | Remove the lid, increase the heat to medium and reduce any excess cooking liquid before serving. |
