440 g petit fours cookies
sunflower oil, for the frying
160 g all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon(s) granulated sugar
260 g milk, 3,5%
1/4 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
icing sugar, to serve


1.Place the cookies in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
2.Place a pan over medium to high heat and add the sunflower oil (2 cm deep).
3.In a large bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, milk, baking soda and salt until homogenized.
4.Remove cookies from refrigerator and roll them in the flour mixture until completely covered by it.
5.Fry for 2-3 minutes until golden. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
6.Set them aside to cool and insert 10 skewers.
7.Serve with icing sugar.
