Ingredients

220 g butter
200 g brown sugar
900 g all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
4 teaspoon(s) ginger, powder
4 teaspoon(s) cinnamon, ground
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) cloves, ground
1 teaspoon(s) pepper, freshly ground
1 teaspoon(s) pepper, freshly ground
2 eggs
300 g honey
35-40 candies, gummy

Instructions

1.Beat the sugar and butter in a mixer until it becomes light and fluffy.
2.Combine the flour along with the remaining dry ingredients in a bowl.
3.While the mixer is beating, add the eggs, one at a time. When completely combined add the honey.
4.Add the flour mixture and beat just enough to incorporate
5.Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, until firm
6.Preheat oven to 160* C (320* F) Fan.
7.Roll the dough out to a sheet 3-4 mm in thickness. Use extra flour to help you roll it out easier.
8.Use various shaped cookie cutters to cut out the dough.
9.Use a very small round cookie cutter to cut out the center of each cookie. Remove the circle of dough and transfer cookies to a baking sheet. Fill the circle in the middle of each cookie with a soft gummy candy.
10.Bake for 8-10 minutes, until golden.
