1.Melt the butter ina saucepan.
2. Add the onion and cook over a low heat stirring occasionally, until softened and translucent but not browned
3.Whisk in the flour. Pour in all the milk, whisking constantly until it starts to boil.
4.Season with salt, lower the heat, cover and simmer gently stirring occasionally, for at least 20 minutes.
5.A few minutes before removing the saucepan from the heat, stir in the paprika.
6.For meat, fish or boiled vegetables.
