250 g/9 oz small squid, cleaned
250 g/9 oz cooked prawns, peeled and deveined
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 sprig fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons fresh breadcrumbs
olive oil, for drizzling
1 baguette
salt and pepper


1.Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/GasMark 4.
2. Coarsely chop the squid and prawns and place in a bowl.
3.Mix in the egg, garlic, parsley and breadcrumbs
4. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
5.Thickly spread the mixture on the slices of bread, place on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Serve immediately
