Ingredients

For the patties
500 g ground chicken
1 onion
2 clove of garlic
1 egg
100 g oats
1 tablespoon(s) parsley
zest, of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon(s) chili flakes
1 teaspoon(s) cumin
1 tablespoon(s) basil, dry
1 tablespoon(s) oregano
salt
pepper
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
To assemble
180 g feta cheese
all-purpose flour, for breading
4 eggs
200 g dry breadcrumbs
1 liter sunflower oil, for frying
To serve
coleslaw salad
French fries
ketchup
mustard

Instructions

1.For the patties
2.In a bowl, add the ground chicken, onion (finely chopped), garlic (finely chopped), egg, oatmeal, lemon zest, chili flakes, cumin, basil, oregano, pepper, salt, olive oil and knead.
3.Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes.
4.To assemble
5.Place a pan with the sunflower oil over low heat.
6.Divide the ground chicken mixture into 12 pieces. Spread out a piece of ground meat on your palm and place a 15 g feta cheese piece in the center. Close the ground chicken so that is covers the feta cheese and shape into a ball.
7.Repeat the process for the rest of the ground chicken.
8.Dip the patties in the flour, eggs, rusks and sauté in two batches, over low heat, for 5-6 minutes until golden.
9.Transfer to paper towel to drain excess oil.
10.Serve with coleslaw salad, French fries, ketchup and mustard.
